Chris Moore had already been a
frequent visitor to Door County for many years when he learned about a
business of interest. After interviewing six banks to assist
him
with the purchase, he chose Baylake Bank.
"I also liked the thought of working with the local bank, and many of my
established relationships in this area had ties to Baylake; I worked
with and knew (Baylake Bank Market President) Mike Gilson."
The decision made obvious sense to me, and Baylake Bank has been just
terrific,” said Moore. With 25 years of experience in large corporations
including Miller Brewing Company/Philip Morris, Moore acquired
N.E.W.
Industries in April of 2000. The company has grown five-fold since that
time. N.E.W.
Industries keeps 130 employees on three shifts busy
manufacturing complete CNC production machined parts and machined
weldments, in addition to a full spectrum of secondary operations.
Moore commented, “The role of a bank in helping a business grow is
absolutely strategic. The bank and its business team help the business
owner from the point of acquiring the company, to helping fund capital
and operating expenses, to providing critical lines of credit.”
“When our company was going through some tough times, Baylake Bank
proactively came to me with ideas on how to keep all the dots connected.
Things were changing in my industry and I needed to focus my attention
on a lot of things that limited time available for financial strategy. I
don’t know if we would have made it through without the support of
Baylake Bank.” |
